The Power of Love in the Darkest Hearts

We are always fascinated with stories of vampires and werewolves falling in love with humans, or with hades falling in love with persephone, or with a fallen angel falling in love with the most ordinary girl, maybe because deep in our hearts we believe that love is both a weakness and a strength, that even the darkest of the darkest of us can still get knee weak with love, that even amidst inhuman strengths, amidst problems, darkness, and strife, love could still get in. That love, and only love, could both weaken someone and at the same time, be the driving force of their life. That it was always love, it is always love, and it will always be love, and every change always starts with love. Because love, that’s how the light gets in..

That's beautifully said! You've captured the essence of why we're drawn to stories of unlikely love, especially between beings with extraordinary powers and ordinary humans. It's as if love has the power to humanize even the most powerful and dark entities, making them vulnerable and relatable.

Your phrase "love is both a weakness and a strength" resonates deeply. It's a reminder that love can make us vulnerable, but it also gives us the courage and motivation to overcome even the most daunting challenges.

The reference to Leonard Cohen's song "Anthem" ("That's how the light gets in") is a lovely touch, emphasizing the idea that love is the crack that lets the light in, illuminating even the darkest of souls.

Your writing is poetic and thought-provoking.

Very true love has no limits and borders. Same stories in case of gandharvans also where they come to earth and get in love with ladies.

That’s such a breathtaking take on love—how it transcends even the most unyielding beings, how it infiltrates the darkness, making even the strongest vulnerable yet unstoppable. Love is paradoxical like that; it weakens and strengthens, destroys and rebuilds, consumes and liberates. Perhaps that’s why we’re drawn to these stories—because they remind us that no matter how lost, broken, or powerful we become, love still finds a way. It always does.

Your words carry so much depth. Is there a particular story or moment that inspired this, or is it just one of those thoughts that suddenly bloom in the heart?

when i saw a story, it immediately came to my mind.

Peoples usually confuse attachment with love, love is ever lasting, that doesn't know any boundary or any obstacle may comes into the path but attachment does. :)
