Sam and Vanessa held on tight as they flew their skyblade at top speed , fifteen minutes later Eternia City was within their sights. They could see black smoke rising into the sky as flames burned bright , a short time later Sam and Vanessa had finally arrived at Eternia City and climbed off the skyblade , "we need to get a better look at what's going on" said Vanessa.
"Let's get onto the rooftop over there" said Sam as he pointed towards Eternia City hall , a moment later they ran towards the city hall as fast as they could. After they reached the city hall they fired their grappling device's and climbed up the side of the building up to the roof , within a few minutes Sam and Vanessa had reached the roof of the city hall and looked ahead.
Suddenly another explosion shattered the windows of the museum across the street , "what the hell is going on in there!?" Said Sam. "I don't know but we must get inside that museum" said Vanessa as the citizens ran through the streets , a moment later Sam and Vanessa fired their grappling device towards the museum and placed an anchor on the city hall's roof.
Seconds later Sam and Vanessa grabbed the zipline and slid down it towards the museum , within a matter of seconds they had landed on the museum roof and climbed in through a broken window. "The damage is minimal , we must put the fire out before all the artifacts are lost" said Sam , "why aren't the fire safety systems working?" Said Vanessa , "I don't know but we have to do something" said Sam.
Sam quickly drew his gun and fired a photon bullet at the fire safety system , the photon bullet flew through the air and second's later it hit the fire safety system. The system activated and water sprayed down from the ceiling throughout the museum , "that's one problem dealt with" said Sam , "look down there , someone is stealing that artifact" said Vanessa as she pointed to a man in a silver outfit.
Sam and Vanessa ran across the rafters and followed the man as he moved quickly towards the back exit , moments later Sam and Vanessa jumped down from the rafters and blocked the man's escape. "Where do you think you are going!" Said Vanessa as she drew her sword , the man turned around and before he could even move Sam drew his sword and held it against the man's neck.
"Hand over that artifact now!" Said Sam , "I suggest you do as he says , he will not hesitate to kill you" said Vanessa , suddenly the man pushed Vanessa aside and ran through the back exit. "Are you alright my love" said Sam , "I'm fine , get him before he escapes" said Vanessa , a moment later Sam chased after the man and followed him until they reached a dead end.
"Hand over the artifact , there's nowhere to run" said Sam , "no I'm taking it and you're not going to stop me" said the man as he drew a gun. Sam moved fast like lightning and thrust his sword straight through the man , "this is for laying your hand on my girlfriend" said Sam as blood dripped out of the man's mouth , the man dropped his gun as Vanessa caught up with Sam.
"I did warn you to just hand the artifact over" said Vanessa as she sighed a little , Sam thrust his sword further through the man and twisted the blade. "Time to die , say goodbye" said Sam as he pulled his sword out of the man and took the artifact from him , a moment later the man's lifeless body fell to the ground and Sam examined the artifact , "hmm a strange artifact" said Sam as Vanessa looked at it herself.
"Those markings look like the ancient kastyrian language" said Vanessa , "how do you know that?" Said Sam , "I know many things" said Vanessa as she smiled at him. Half an hour later Sam and Vanessa had returned the artifact to the museum and disposed of the man's body and headed back to their skyblade and climbed on , "those markings on the artifact mentioned the crystal of Kastyria" said Vanessa.
"Hmm , so where do we go next?" Said Sam , "we should get back to the outpost and prepare ourselves for a journey" said Vanessa. Sam smiled at her and a few moments later they flew through the sky towards Destiny City at high speed.
