Athena, Odysseus and his crew reached the city of Ermoupolis as the festival of Apollo was in full swing, music filled the air and flags rippled in the gentle breeze as the sun shone over the city, trees blossoming by the sparkling river that ran down the hills. They walked around the center of the city and bought supplies and trinkets as Athena and Odysseus watch some citizens dance and sing, the festival went on throughout the day , as the sun set and the moonlight glowed over the city Athena, Odysseus and his crew joined the feast to honour the sun god Apollo , they ate and drank as some of the citizens lit a large fire and placed offerings to Apollo around it.
"Would you like to dance" said Odysseus to Athena, "yes I would like that" said Athena, Odysseus took her hand and walked closer to the fire and started dancing, they danced slowly as music played around them , Odysseus's men watched them as they drank their wine and ate their lamb. Odysseus held Athena close and looked into her eyes as they twirled around, later that evening one of the citizens gave them a short tour of the city center , blacksmiths hammered burning hot metal making new tools and bakers making bread , the smell of food and flowers flowing through the air as they walked through the dim lit streets.
The citizen showed Athena, Odysseus and his men to a place they could stay for the night, they all decided to enjoy the festival, Odysseus's men joined the wrestling contest that was being held in a nearby field , as Odysseus and Athena watched people dancing around the fire.
It was now midnight and Athena, Odysseus and his men walked to the inn and walked inside and headed to their rooms and fell asleep, Odysseus tossed and turned as the nightmare he was having troubled him , a dark figure with glowing red eyes haunting and following him in his nightmare , suddenly he woke up from his nightmare and found Athena standing in front of him , he told her about his nightmare then Athena said "sounds like whoever is behind our recent troubles is trying to scare you , don't worry I'll keep you safe dear Odysseus" as she sat down beside him on his bed and placed her hand in his shoulder and smiled.
