Just as the lion was about to attack Odysseus the ground shook more , then suddenly a ball of fire crashed into the ground next to them , Odysseus looked up and saw another ball of fire heading straight for him. Odysseus swiftly dodged it and regrouped with his men , Athena looked up and saw where the fireball's were coming from , "a volcano" shouted Athena, more fireball's rained down around them "let's get off this island" said Odysseus, Athena , Odysseus and his crew ran back across the rocky terrain and towards the beach.
Suddenly the ground shook again as the lion chased them , just as the lion was about to pounce on one of Odysseus's men a fireball came crashing down and hit the lion , the lion lay dead on the ground as it's eyes stopped glowing red. "Poor creature" said Athena as she quickly looked over at it as she , Odysseus and his crew kept running. Fireball's kept crashing down through the trees setting them alight as lava ran down the volcano, as the trees burned and the birds flew away out to sea Athena , Odysseus and his crew reached the beach and climbed aboard the ship and quickly set sail away from the island.
Fireball's falling through the sky crashing down into the ground as thick black smoke covered the island as they looked back, Athena and Odysseus held on to the ship as it rocked side to side over the waves as they talked about what happened with the lion. "Do you have an idea who's behind this" said Odysseus , " yes dear Odysseus , it's one of the god's but I'm not sure which one yet" said Athena as Odysseus looked at her with concern, Athena , Odysseus and his crew sailed onwards towards their next destination as the gentle breeze flowed and the sun shone bright across the sea as the crew rowed faster.
They sailed onwards as the dolphins swam alongside through the glimmering waves as they saw the next island just ahead of the , they reached the island and anchored the ship then climbed off and walked onto the beach , a group of people stood by the beach and a woman said "welcome to Syros" , they greeted Athena, Odysseus and his crew and they walked onwards and upwards across the hills and towards the city of Ermoupolis.
