The next morning Athena, Odysseus and his men said goodbye to the farmer and headed back the ship , they all climbed aboard the ship and set sail towards the next island on their journey , the wind started blowing stronger making the waves grow stronger , the ship bobbing up and down the rough waves as it started to rain. The rain fell harder as Odysseus's men rowed faster trying to stay on course , in the distance they saw another ship being battered by the waves then suddenly got pulled under the waves , Odysseus and his crew sailed towards them and rescued a few survivors and recruited them to his brave crew.
They sailed onwards managing to navigate the rough sea and finally reached an island called Milos , they anchored their ship and went ashore and walked across the rocky terrain , suddenly a large figure appeared in front of them , Odysseus and his men drew their swords and spears then raised their shields , " a lion" said Odysseus, "it's eyes are glowing just like the bear we fought before" said Athena. The lion roared loudly the charged towards them , one of Odysseus's men thrust his spear towards the lion and landed a deadly blow , the lion roared in pain as it fell to the ground and died , "that was easy" said Athena , "yes in fact it seemed to easy to kill" said Odysseus.
Suddenly the lion's body glowed bright red and then leapt to its feet and let out an almighty roar , "it was dead , I'm sure of it" said one of Odysseus's men , the lion leapt forward pouncing on one of he crewmen then clawed at him , shredding his armour and it's teeth tearing through his flesh and veins killing him , blood dripped off the lions teeth as it set it's sight in Odysseus, he raised his shield then the lion charged at him at high speed. Suddenly a wall of gold and red light appeared in front of him , "I will protect you dear Odysseus" said Athena.
The lion bounced off the wall of red and gold light that surrounded Odysseus, suddenly the ground started shaking, "an earthquake" said Odysseus , everyone tried to keep their balance as the ground shook violently , the lion roared again loudly keeping it's balance and ready to attack , suddenly there was a noise coming from nearby they all heard a sinister laugh somewhere close coming from the shadows and then suddenly the laughing stopped and the lion started to charge forward towards Odysseus again.
