Inevitable! But sometimes it’s not worth. Still we crave for that comfort no matter what“Do you think we fall in love with conversations or with people?”
I think we fall in love with conversations first...
When talking to someone just starts feeling easy. You're laughing more, telling them random things about your day, sending them things you wouldn't tell anyone else. No pressure, no overthinking, and you just want to keep talking.
And then it slowly becomes a habit. You check your phone a little more. You keep reading their messages again and again. You're smiling at something they said hours ago.
You start thinking you've fallen for the person.
But you actually fell for the comfort, the attention, how they made you laugh, how they teased you, the way they made you feel seen without making it a big deal.
The person just came later.

Wow, you put that so beautifully. I think you’re completely right. We fall in love with the space that person creates for us first. The comfort of being heard and the dopamine of a notification. It’s like the conversation is the bridge, and we fall in love with walking on it before we even realize who is waiting on the other side.“Do you think we fall in love with conversations or with people?”
