As you told me to go and sleep, am going now. Good night. Take care.
Take care of yourself too
As you told me to go and sleep, am going now. Good night. Take care.
Healing is not forgetting but I think it also depends on what you're healing from. If you're healing from something that was beautiful once but eventually left u with scars, thn healing can mean something very different. Some things are worth remembering bcz they taught us, changed us, or gave us beautiful moments. But some things are better left behind not bcz they didn't matter but bcz remembering them keeps reopening the wound..
Healing is not the art of forgetting...
It is the quiet courage of remembering without breaking.
There will always be names that echo softly in our hearts, moments that visit us like an old song, and memories that still know the way back home. They don't have to disappear for us to heal.
True healing happens when yesterday no longer writes today's story. When the shadows of the past stop dimming the light that is waiting for us now. When we stop searching for old faces in new souls and finally allow the present to bloom in its own beautiful way.
The people we once loved will always be a chapter of our journey. We can hold those pages with gratitude, smile at what they gave us, and gently close the book without carrying its weight into every new beginning.
Because some memories are meant to become poetry, not prisons...They are stars that remain in the night sky... beautiful from a distance, but never meant to keep us from welcoming the sunrise.
And perhaps that is what healing truly is...
Not forgetting who once touched your heart,
but finally giving your heart the freedom to beat fully for the life and the love that stand before you today.

Sometimes u have to remember the way u were treated, the nights u spent hurting, the prayers u whispered, the tears u hid, and all the times u chose to stay when u were already breaking. Not to live in those memories, but to remind urself why u finally chose to leave. Bcz healing isn't always about looking back with gratitude. Sometimes it's about looking back and saying, "I will never allow myself to go through that again." Some memories can become poetry as u said. But some memories are lessons, not souvenirs. Well u do have to preserve every chapter just bcz it once meant something to you. Thr are memories worth keeping, and thr are memories that deserve to fade. Thr are people we can remember with a smile, and thr are people we heal by finally letting go of every version of them we kept alive in our minds. Cuz sometimes moving on doesn't mean carrying the past peacefully with u. Sometimes it means putting it down completely. Bcz not everything that happened to us needs to remain a part of us. Some things were beautiful chapters, some were painful lessons, and some are simply pages we were never meant to read again. And maybe that's healing too .. not forgetting everything, but knowing what deserves to be remembered, what deserves to be forgiven, and what deserves to be forgotten completely so that u can finally make room for something better.
