As Death Sets Sail

We make gods from our deepest fears,
Figures of strength to dry our tears.
But when death comes, quiet and near,
No god can stand, no myth can cheer.

Our stories are made to ease our mind,
Shaped by the past, they try to bind.
But when truth comes, clear and bright,
All the myths fall, all gods take flight.

The power we give to these names,
Falls apart when death calls our names.
In its wake, only what’s real,
Stands before us, no force to conceal.

In silence, truth will always stay,
No god, no myth, no guide to sway.
Just the fact, no mask or veil,
Witnessed as death sets its sail.

We make gods from our deepest fears,
Figures of strength to dry our tears.
But when death comes, quiet and near,
No god can stand, no myth can cheer.

But God only created birth and death, so how can He or She come and help us during death? Like a coach, God guides us to live life fully and gives us a lifetime without revealing its fixed end. However, we humans misuse this opportunity, neglecting our physical and mental health, ultimately spoiling the precious time given to us by God.

I believe God is a power not into any other arguments like who is God...

Thank you for taking the time to read the poem! Your support, presence, and feedback really mean a lot :happy1:

That's an interesting point. But both belief and disbelief are just ideas created by the mind when we lack awareness. Atheism is simply the opposite of belief, but both are conclusions formed by thought. These ideas whether belief in gods or atheism don’t matter when we face death. Neither brings us closer to the truth because both take us away from 'what is,' which is simply 'presence' what we call 'truth.' Truth is simply seeing 'what is' without adding personal ideas, beliefs, or assumptions.

Where there is thought, there is a thinker, and where there is a thinker, there is illusion and truth cannot exist there. Truth is universal, while thought is personal. Both have their place, but if we clearly see the difference between truth and thought, we will never be confused. And if we are never confused, we will neither be a 'believer' nor an 'atheist.'

Interesting..!!
How about human staying immortal.....!hmm.. :worried::wondering:..

There's no such supernatural powers..
This very idea of god is deeply rooted in religious and spiritual beliefs... Coz They see god as one who exists beyond the limitations of physical world, beyond time and beyond space.. Immortal one..

That’s an interesting perspective! The idea of immortality does challenge how we understand life and death. But if we look closely, the concept of immortality itself is tied to the same thought processes that create images of gods and other beliefs. When we think about immortality, we’re imagining something beyond our current physical experience, which is also a product of the mind just like the concept of God.

You mentioned that God is often seen as existing beyond the limitations of time and space, and as immortal. But isn’t this just another idea created by the mind to explain something we cannot fully understand? If we witness that 'Presence,' or the truth of 'what is,' is beyond thought and belief, it may suggest that what we call immortality or the idea of God is, in fact, just an image formed by human desire to understand the unknown.

If we step away from these concepts and simply witness 'what is' the truth of the present moment we may find that immortality and the idea of God, as we’ve imagined them, are just projections of thought, not the reality of the 'Presence' that simply is.

Let me ask you: Have you ever seen God with your own eyes, or is God simply a collection of ideas you have read in books written by others? How God look like? If 'God' is merely a label or image created by thought, how can we truly know God? If God is beyond our understanding, how can we describe or experience it through mere words?

You say God created both birth and death, but if God is the creator of life, how can God be separate from death? If God made both birth and death, doesn’t that mean death is part of God’s plan? You also mention that God guides us to live life fully how do we witness this guidance? Is it something we feel, or just a belief passed down through teachings?

If God is a power, how can we understand this power without ever witnessing it firsthand? Can we truly know God, or is it just a concept we have formed from what we have been told? If God is beyond labels, how can we possibly explain or grasp this power with only words? And if we misuse our time, isn’t it part of the design for us to wake up to the truth of life and death, beyond any external guidance?

I will take some time to read this, but I want to ask you a few things. Do you breathe, feel, have senses, and possess a mind? If so, can you show me what it's like and in what form it exists?

You ask if I breathe, feel, have senses, and possess a mind. Yes, I do. But the key difference is that breathing, feeling, and sensing can be directly witnessed and experienced without the need for belief or imagination. You can feel your breath, sense touch, and be aware of your thoughts. These are observable realities that require no external validation.

Now, can you say the same about God? Can God be directly witnessed, sensed, or experienced without the need for thought, belief, or interpretation? If God exists beyond the physical world, beyond space and time, then how is it possible to know or define God at all?

Breath, senses, and even the mind function within the natural world. But God, as commonly described, is an idea shaped by thought and accumulated knowledge. So, the question remains have you witnessed God directly, or is God just a concept passed down through words, traditions, and beliefs?

The concept of God can be different for each person, shaped by where they come from, what they believe, and their life experiences.

Just like we can’t physically see or touch our thoughts, feelings, and senses, we may not be able to see or fully grasp God as a power in a physical way.

But both are real in their own sense and they exist within us and influence how we perceive and experience life.

Just as our inner experiences guide us, the power of God can guide and shape the way we live, even if we can’t directly witness it.

Death might not be something completely separate, but rather just a part of the natural cycle of life. If God is seen as the creator of both life and death, then death might not be something to fear but a necessary transition.

Some people feel they are guided by intuition or inner wisdom, while others may rely on teachings passed down through generations. How we experience this guidance depends on our openness and awareness. The idea that we misuse our time could be part of the journey toward awakening and realizing deeper truths about life and death, beyond external teachings.

If God is seen as a power, many believe we don’t need to witness it firsthand. Instead, it can be felt through a deeper connection with the world and ourselves. These are deeply personal and spiritual questions, and each person must explore them in their own way, often discovering more questions along the way.

I didn't come here for any debate or anything. I just shared my thoughts, and maybe if they aren't worth it, I can delete my previous response.

Alright. Ah, I see. You view God as a 'concept or belief,' and I was simply curious to hear your perspective on God, not to debate. Examining ideas is about engaging in dialogue, not arguing. I never asked you to delete anything, so why take it personally? Let’s close the discussion here. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
