Hello and good evening bro. Well I feel they are ready for the new relationship and as long as they are committed to the new one it should not be an issue. Some people have a habit of holding on to the past which in some ways is not correct as well. That being said as long as the new partner is faithful to you just look ahead and into the future. I mean there's nothing wrong in believing it as everyone has their opinions
But would you also be okay if your partner still has her ex bf's photos in her phone hidden somewhere?
If there is no problem from your side for this then it can be considered!

Yess if both of the partners are really okay with it and their relationship is full of trust and faith then there seems no problem in it !

If we truly love each other, there will be no secrets between us. This isn't a controversial point, but I’ll explain it anyway: love is a chapter of life, and it is foolish to completely erase a part of one’s past for someone else’s sake—though that doesn't mean secretly looking at her photos. If my next partner ever asks about her, I will simply say that she were a beautiful chapter of my life. That's all.

I completely agree to you on this.. Forgetting someone completely just because someone else is in your life is not possible...because at a point in time they were with you as your closest individual.. One should just know the boundaries between not making your current significant half insecure about it and be open about your views on this to your partner !!
