He: "Then tell me what hurts."

She: "I don't know how to explain it."

Every sound. Every thought. Even breathing feels heavy."

(He didn't rush to answer. He just took her hand.)

He: "Then we'll make the world smaller."

She: "What if the whole world feels unsafe?"

He: "Then don't carry the whole world."

She: "What do I carry?"

He: "Just my hand. I'll carry the rest."
