Love Doesn't Need a Rulebook..!
Before love, each person had a life of
their own personality, habits, passions, friendships, dreams, and a way of living that made them who they were...
Ironically, those very qualities are often what make us fall in love with them..
We admire the way they speak, the confidence they carry, the friends they keep, the things they enjoy, and the freedom with which they live..
But once the relationship begins..
those same qualities suddenly
become a problem..!
"Don't talk to them."
"Don't go there."
"Don't dress like that."
"Don't spend time on this."
"Do this... Don't do that..."
Slowly, love starts sounding more like a rulebook than a relationship...!!!
Why do we try to change the very person we once admired?
Perhaps because many people unknowingly fall in love with an expectation rather than an individual.
Instead of accepting their partner for who they truly are, they begin trying to shape them into the version they have imagined in their minds..!
They want to see their partner as they wish them to be, not as they already are..
When expectations become more important than individuality, love slowly turns into control..!!!
Acceptance is replaced by correction..
Freedom is replaced by permission..
And companionship is replaced by supervision..
Of course, every relationship needs trust, honesty, loyalty, respect, and the commitment to keep promises. Betrayal has no place in a healthy relationship. These are not restrictions—they are responsibilities that both partners willingly choose..!!!
But beyond those values, trying to control someone's individuality in the name of love isn't love at all...
Love should never demand that someone stop being themselves just to make us feel secure..!
A relationship shouldn't feel like wearing invisible tags around your neck that say what you're allowed to do and what you're forbidden from doing...!
A healthy relationship doesn't ask two people to lose themselves..!
It encourages two complete individuals to grow together while still remaining themselves..!
Real love doesn't erase a person's identity.
It protects it..!
It doesn't seek ownership...
It seeks understanding..!!
It doesn't ask,
"How can I change you to fit my expectations?"
It asks,
"How can I love you without taking away the person I fell in love with?"
Because the strongest relationships aren't built on control...
They aren't built on constant restrictions or endless conditions..!
They're built on trust, mutual respect, honest communication, and the freedom to be authentic..!
The greatest gift you can give someone you love is not the freedom to become the person you want.
It is the safety to remain the person they truly are..!
