you're out with him, hair left open, trying to enjoy the moment until it starts irritating you.
You sigh, gathering your hair, about to tie it up messily,
when suddenly he stops you.
A gentle hold on your wrist.
You look at him, confused.
And without a word he reaches forward...
fixes your hair himself, slowly, carefully like it's something delicate.
And then
clips it up with a claw clip he had on him.
Not new. Not random.

The same one...

you once forgot at his place.
You blink.
Because you don't even remember that day.
But he does.
He steps back, admiring you for a second
and says softly

"I don't forget things... when it's you."

You just stare at him, speechless.
Because it was never about the claw clip.

It was about the fact that, among all the things life made him forget, he never forgot a single piece of you.

Three hair washes a week just so he can happily comb my hair and decorate with clips in it. This was definitely not in the terms and conditions.

Maangaati, please. That "messy" hair took gel, hairspray, curlers, and probably an hour of work.
