The Closure We Always Deserved

There is a certain heaviness in silence, especially when the heart is still carrying words it never got the chance to say. When we first found each other, we started this as a twin flame connection, two souls that felt instantly and deeply intertwined. Because of how profoundly that connection shaped us, I don't want our story to simply fade away into an uncomfortable, unresolved quiet.
I am not asking to turn back time, rewrite the past, or wake up feelings that have already been put to rest. I am just hoping we can share one last time together. A peaceful moment where we can sit across from each other and simply talk, without the heavy weight of anger or the shadow of past pain. I want us to recreate some of the simple, beautiful things we used to do, just for fun. I want us to laugh at the same old jokes, revisit the moments that made us happy, and build one final, joyful memory that we can both safely cherish for a long time.
We truly deserve these final moments. A bond that started with such an intense, soulful depth owes it to those beautiful early moments to find a gentle and respectful ending. The words we swallow and leave unsaid eventually become a heavy burden, and by finally sharing them out loud, softly and honestly, we can truly set each other free. Instead of letting everything end on a note of hurt or confusion, we deserve to part ways with a quiet understanding and a shared smile. Yet, even as we seek this peace, I am not sure if a complete closure or an absolute goodbye is even possible for us. Because we both know, deeply and quietly, that no matter how far our paths diverge, parts of us will always continue to remain within each other.

Sometimes we want to meet one last time, not to get someone back, but to get ourselves back. That last chat is not really an ending, but rather the courage to walk a new path.
