Favoured Frenzy
The ocean wears your name tonight—
In every crest, in moonlit white.
Its blues, like eyes I used to know,
Still pull me where the deep winds blow.
You were the calm between my storms,
The lighthouse touch, the warmth, the forms
Of whispered winds and salted skin—
I lost you where the tides begin.
The sea remembers; I still do—
Its rhythm beats the heart of you.
And though you're gone, the ocean proves:
True love still aches, but never moves.
In every crest, in moonlit white.
Its blues, like eyes I used to know,
Still pull me where the deep winds blow.
You were the calm between my storms,
The lighthouse touch, the warmth, the forms
Of whispered winds and salted skin—
I lost you where the tides begin.
The sea remembers; I still do—
Its rhythm beats the heart of you.
And though you're gone, the ocean proves:
True love still aches, but never moves.
