A short time later...
As the police surrounded the alley Inspector Abberline had arrived from police headquarters and began to examine the crime scene for clues. "Hmm there's not even a trace of evidence" thought the Inspector as he searched the alley , "ok men take the body away" he said , minutes later the Inspector left Whitechapel then headed back to headquarters and waited there for the coroner's report.
Later that day...
The coroner called the police headquarters and gave the Inspector the results of the post mortem , "thank you Doctor" said the Inspector and placed the phone back. "Hmm the results were as I expected" mumbled Inspector Abberline as he sat in his chair and thought to himself , he looked towards the window and stared through it and began to think , "the murderer shall strike again soon , I am sure of it" said the Inspector.
It is now September 8th 1888 and it was late in the evening , a woman called Annie was walking through the streets of Whitechapel towards her home. Annie had decided to take a shortcut through the poorest part of Whitechapel to get home quicker , as she walked into an alley the man that killed Mary just over a week ago had followed her , the man reached into a pocket and took out his knife.
Moments later the man jumped Annie from behind and covered her mouth to prevent her from screaming , as he kept his hand over her mouth the man pushed Annie against the wall. As he held her to the wall he began to thrust his knife in and out of her chest and gut in a frenzy , Annie's blood splattered across the wall and cobblestones as the man thrust his knife into her repeatedly.
Seconds later the man slit Annie's throat and watched as her blood sprayed across her clothes , as the man had mostly vanished into the foggy night a woman screamed. "Ahh , MURDER! , POLICE!!" , a minute or two later a few policeman had arrived at the scene , "call the Inspector now" said one of the policemen , within half an hour Inspector Abberline had arrived at the crime scene of the latest murder.
He examined the crime scene closely for any clues , "no traces of evidence again , the same marks as the last victim" thought the Inspector. He told his men to guard the crime scene as he continued to look around , "this is just like the last murder , it looks like we have a serial killer on our hands" he said , later that night Annie's body was taken away to the coroner and examined for evidence.
The Inspector paced around the room as the coroner examined Annie's body , "hmm , it is definitely the same person that killed Mary" said the coroner. "I knew it , the killer must be caught before they strike again" said the Inspector , "I can tell you that whoever killed these women was very strong" said the coroner , "so you think the killer is a man?" Asked the Inspector.
"Yes I'm certain , and I think he may be a very disturbed individual" said the coroner , "how so?" Said the Inspector , "these wounds were delivered in a frenzy but he was also careful where he thrust the knife , making them suffer by taking his time" said the coroner , "he must be caught before he can harm anyone else" said the Inspector with a sound of determination in his voice...
