"SMASH!!"...the basilisk's tail hit a tree as it attacked Sam and Vanessa , suddenly the basilisk lunged forward and opened it's mouth as it reached out towards Sam. It's razor sharp teeth dripping with venom and it's eyes glowing a little , Sam quickly dodged the basilisk's attack and jumped on it's back , "be careful!" Said Vanessa as she moved fast around the tree's trying to avoid the basilisk's attacks.
Sam held onto the basilisk firmly as it tried to shake him off , Vanessa reached into her pouch and pulled out a small bottle. "This smoke bomb should help" said Vanessa as she threw it at the ground in front of her , a moment later a cloud of green smoke burst out of the bottle , Vanessa moved swiftly and climbed up one of the tree's as Sam held onto his sword.
The basilisk continued to try and shake Sam off it's back as it swung it's body around , the green smoke continued to swirl around as Vanessa got into position up in the tree. Moments later Sam thrust his sword into the basilisk's back , the basilisk screeched loudly as Sam thrust his sword deeper , a moment later here pulled his sword out and jumped off it's back.
Sam moved fast and attacked the basilisk while it was distracted and slashed it with his sword , then suddenly Vanessa leapt down from the tree and thrust her sword towards the basilisk's head. A matter of moments later Vanessa's sword impaled the basilisk's head as she landed on it , suddenly the basilisk became silent as it's head crashed into the ground , "nice work" said Sam.
The basilisk's blood dripped off Vanessa's sword as she pulled it out of it's head , "we must clean the blood off our sword's" said Vanessa. "What for?" Said Sam , "basilisk's blood is acidic , it won't damage our swords but it will burn our skin if we get any of it on us" said Vanessa , a few moments later they cleaned the blood off their swords with pieces of cloth they had in their bag.
After they cleaned their swords the pieces of cloth began to burn , "the basilisk blood is burning the cloth , drop it!" said Sam. They quickly dropped the burning pieces of cloth and stepped back , "let's get out of these woods before something else decides to attack us " said Vanessa , a few moments later Sam and Vanessa walked through the words as fast as they could until they reached the exit.
"Ugh finally , I thought we were going to be stuck in there forever" said Vanessa as Sam stood beside her , "look over there , I think it's Kastyria" said Sam. "Let's get there quickly , it's getting a little dark" said Vanessa , a moment later they ran as fast as they could towards Kastyria as the sun began to set , fifteen minutes later Sam and Vanessa had finally arrived at Kastyria.
"So what next?" Said Sam , "I guess we start looking for the crystal of Kastyria" said Vanessa as they walked through the dimly lit streets. As they walked through the crowd's Vanessa spotted something at the center of the town , "look over there , some ruins" said Vanessa as she pointed towards them , moments later they had reached the ruins and began to look around.
They saw a plaque beside the ruins that said "the crystal of Kastyria once stood here during the reign of the Kastyrian empire until one day when it was moved somewhere safe". "Hmm I'm think our next stop is the old library" said Vanessa , "let's go , hopefully it's still open.." said Sam as they walked through the street towards Kastyria library.
