As the dragon flew straight for Lucy's pendant glowed then suddenly the shadow dragon fired it's flames straight at them, she held the amulet and a burst of light surrounded them shielding them from the attack. The shadow dragon raged and blew a bigger burst of fire but had little effect, it flew around and charged at Lucy as Alexander climbed up the castle wall, the shadow dragon kept blasting it's fiery breath at her as Alexander climbed higher on top of the wall, he shadow dragon flew straight at him then Alexander dodged out of the way and jumped off the high wall and onto the shadow dragons back. The shadow dragon flew around in a frenzy trying to shake him off Alexander held on tight as he climbed up its body and drew his sword, suddenly the shadow dragon dived down through the trees trying to throw him off then launched itself high into the sky , Alexander held on tight then then drove his sword through the shadow dragons body , it roared loudly in pain and started falling through the air towards the ground as Alexander held on as the shadow dragon crashed into the ground. "Alexander" screamed Lucy as she ran towards him , Alexander laying on the ground beaten and bruised next to the dragons body , Lucy took the spell book out of her bag and looked through it, "there has to be a healing spell in here somewhere" thought Lucy, she flicked through the pages quickly and found the right spell and started whispering some words as she placed her hand on Alexander's chest. Her eyes glowed bright green and her hair blew in the wind , Alexander's body started glowing, a white light enveloped him and his wounds started to heal, he slowly opened his eyes and saw Lucy kneeling next to him , "what happened" he said, "you saved us , the dragon is dead" said Lucy as she helped him up off the ground and walked over to his horse. She helped him up onto the horse and climbed on with him then travelled on to their next destination... To be continued
