Later that day Alexander and Lucy got dressed and packed some supplies and headed out into the night , they walked down the street and they climbed atop Alexander's faithful horse and rode eastwards. The travelled for a few hours until suddenly they heard noises close by coming from the ruins , "druids" said Alexander, "don't worry, druids are peaceful, they won't harm us" said Lucy , she asked the druids "do you know where the village called Meridia is" she asked, the druids replied "keep going east for an hour then turn north past the castle" , thank you said Lucy and Alexander then the druid walked towards them and said "take this amulet it will protect you" , "protect us from what" said Alexander , "the shadow dragon , it guards the castle and the surrounding area" said the druid. Alexander and Lucy rode eastwards for an hour and saw the castle, the castle looked old with moss covering it's walls and surround by a swamp, "let's be careful" he said as they slowly rode closer to the castle.
They climbed off the horse and sneaked up to the castle and went inside "no sign of the dragon here" said Lucy as they explored the old abandoned castle. They went through some boxes and looked through some books , "hmm this a spell book" he said as he handed it to Lucy , she began to read it and started to practice some of the spells , meanwhile Alexander opened a large chest and found a sword , the sword had a golden handle encrusted with diamonds as it glowed in his hand. Suddenly they heard a noise from outside, it was his horse neighing loudly, they quickly ran down the spiral staircase and ran outside, "it's the shadow dragon" said Alexander as he gripped his new sword tightly , the shadow dragon swiftly turned around in the air and saw them as it roared loudly, It blasted it's fiery blue flames into the air and started heading towards them ready to attack...to be continued
