As they moved a little closer towards the troll Vanessa aimed her bow at the troll then suddenly it had spotted her , Vanessa fired her strange arrows with rapid speed hitting the troll with every arrow, the troll charged towards her then Lucy aimed her hand at the troll and whispered one of the spells she had learned ,her eyes glowing bright green. Then suddenly vines burst out of the ground and wrapped themselves around the troll trapping it , Alexander climbed up of the trees almost slipping off it's icy branches, he got into position ready to attack, Vanessa kept firing her arrows while Lucy kept whispering keeping the enchanted vines around the troll. "Attack now" said Vanessa, Alexander was about to jump down from the tree when suddenly the troll broke free from the vines and swung it's arm , the troll grabbed Vanessa in it's huge hand about to crush her. Vanessa tried to escape the trolls grip but failed then Lucy whispered another spell , her eyes glowing brighter this time as the amulet boosted her powers , suddenly a burst of lightning blasted from her hands and firing it at the troll the troll grumbled loudly then Alexander jumped from the tree holding his sword towards the troll and drove it into it's back. The troll roared in agony and dropped Vanessa into the cold snowy ground, Alexander pulled out the sword and jumped down as Lucy kept blasting the troll with lightning, Alexander grabbed Vanessa's hand and moved her away, Vanessa grabbed her bow and and aimed it at the troll then fired an arrow, the arrow pierced the troll through it's neck , green blood dripping down it's body. Lucy talked louder increasing the intensity of the bursts of lightning as they hit the troll , Alexander twirled his sword in his hand and then tree it straight at the troll , the sword flew through the air and hit the troll piercing it's heart.
The troll crashed down into the cold icy ground and Alexander pulled his sword out , green blood dripping off the blade , "let's get back inside the cave before we freeze* he said, they went back inside the cave and ate some food and rested as they prepared to head towards the lake in search of the next clue...to be continued
