As they had finally reached the mountains the weather worsened, the snow falling thick and fast and the wind howling, "we need to find shelter" said Alexander, they kept riding for a shirt time as the weather turned into a blizzard then Lucy said "over there a cave". They rode towards the cave and went inside taking their horses in with them for safety, Vanessa went into one of her bags and took out a blanket as Lucy set up a campfire , Vanessa took out the map and looked at it , "there should be a clue not much farther from here" she said as Alexander checked the map , "about an hour's ride from here near the the lake" said Alexander. The wind howling louder than before and snow blowing fast causing a whiteout losing all visibility outside , suddenly there was a loud growling noise close by , "what was that noise, what's out there" said Lucy and Vanessa , Alexander stood up and walked to the cave entrance, his eyes almost squinting as he tries to see through the blizzard. Suddenly he saw a large figure moving towards them, with a look of shock Alexander moved back into the cave , " what is it" said Vanessa and Lucy, "it's a mountain troll , a very large one" said Alexander as he drew his sword, "follow my lead" he said as Lucy quickly read through her spell book to find a spell to use and Vanessa took a bow out of her bag and some strange looking arrows then they walked to the entrance ready for a fight. "This isn't going to be an easy fight" said Alexander as he gripped his sword tightly, they looked at each other and said "let's take this troll down" , they crept out of the cave quietly taking their positions ready to ambush the troll as the blizzard roared on....to be continued..
