As Hercules and Odysseus crept closer to the gryphon Odysseus said, "why kill it when we could tame it" , "hmm a good idea" said Hercules, Odysseus took some rope out of his bag as Hercules moved closer to the gryphon. The gryphon sat down by the stream as Odysseus made a loop with the rope and then sneaked up behind it, suddenly Odysseus jumped onto the gryphon's back and placed the rope around it's neck, Hercules held the gryphon tight trying to avoid being pecked and bitten, the gryphon flapped it's wings trying to shake Odysseus off.
Suddenly Hercules swung himself around and climbed onto the gryphon's back behind Odysseus, the gryphon launched itself into the air tearing through the clouds at high speed, the gryphon swirled through the sky trying to shake them off but they held in tight. The gryphon dived down through the clouds and towards the ground and landed then tried to shake them off again, Odysseus whispered to the gryphon as Hercules took some food out of his bag and threw it onto the ground.
The gryphon lunged forward and grabbed the food and ate it as Odysseus kept talking to it , suddenly the gryphon became calm , "we've tamed the beast" said Hercules as he laughed heartily, raising his eyebrow as Odysseus laughed with him. Odysseus held the rope tight as Hercules held onto him then the gryphon launched into the air as Odysseus steered it to the north , they flew through the sky at high speed as they looked down at the mountains, they could see the village in the distance behind them.
They flew onwards faster, the window blowing through their long hair, the sun kissing their skin, "down there a forest, let's make a camp for the night" said Hercules, the sun slowly went down as they flew down through the sky and landed in a clearing in the forest. Hercules and Odysseus set up camp for the night and talked about their other adventures as they ate and drank, after a few hours they fell asleep under the shining stars , the moonlight glowing above them....
