Smartass. Why dont you ask, simple question that we can give answer easily and prove ourselves intelligent n get claps?
Anyway ,when you have asked , let me try.
  • Retrace your steps (literally or mentally).
  • Let your mind wander—the answer might pop up when you least expect it.
  • Think of the last time you remembered it—what were you doing?
  • Use categories—was it a task, an item, a name?
And if all else fails, just let it go—because as soon as you stop trying, BAM! It’ll hit you at 3 AM. This helps me many times in real life. Our unconscious mind is very powerful. I try to remember last time when I go to sleep on my bed at night. Many a times when I wake up in the morning , answer pops up in mind itself. May be its name of a person , or thing that want to remember badly or some important documents where we forgot or simply any trivia. :smoking::cool:

Hello and good evening Ms. . Well that's something we all have encountered in our life at some point at the other and it can become quite troublesome. Especially when you age , it kinda get's worse. But as Dom55 correctly said , the more you think about it , the more it does not come back. So it's better to let go for sometime and then suddenly it will pop back in the mind. Me being an avid music lover sometimes I am trying to recall a song or the movie in which it was featured , it get's extremely frustrating but then I just let it go for that point of time.

And we can’t focus on anything else until we remember what it is?!

This reminds me of one incident
One day, I heard a song in a mall and wanted to listen again ...but forgot the start. For two days, I kept trying to remember. Then, at 2 AM, it suddenly came to me in my sleep. I woke my husband to share the lyrics so I wouldn’t forget. To this day, he says, "Next time,
If you remember something important, just write it down—just don’t wake me up at midnight!" Pls...lol
