There is light in everything
Even when it's dark
Just look up at the night sky
At all those twinkling sparks.
When you look for the light
You will find it everywhere
In the innocent smiles of children
In aging wrinkled eyes that care.
You will find it in strangers,
Who run to someone's aid,
When evil strikes in pointless acts,
they are the ones who cared and stayed.
There's light upon the ocean
Reflected by the moon
Guiding lost souls home safely
Through sadness, loss and gloom.
And when the sun shines down,
Through passing clouds of grey,
The light has come to find you
And help you find your way..
