* 9 December 1946: The first meeting of the Constituent Assembly was held in the Constituent Assembly (today's Parliament House Central Hall). *Constituent Assembly on 25 November 1949 The first meeting of the Savdhaan Sabha took place. * The last meeting of the Constituent Assembly was held on 25 November 1949 * The Constituent Assembly met for a total of 114 days in 2 years, 11 months, 18 days * Press and public had freedom to participate in its meetings * Pioneer of the Communist movement in India And MN Roy, an advocate of revolutionary democracy, proposed the idea of a Constituent Assembly in December 1934. *The total membership of the Constituent Assembly was 389, of which 292 were representatives of the provinces, 93 represented the princely states and four from Delhi, Ajmer-Merwara, Coorg and The Chief Commissioner of British Balochistan was from the provinces. The Constituent Assembly appointed a total of 22 committees. Of these, eight were major committees and others were minor committees. * At the time of creation, the original constitution had 395 articles which were divided into 22 parts, it had only 8 schedules * At present, there are only 395 articles, and 12 schedules and it is divided into 25 partsAt present, 105 amendments have been made in the constitution.
