Today I'm kicking back,
I need a little rest.
This past week was chaotic
it has put me to the test.
But today the sun is shining
and there's a gentle breeze,
I can simply relax awhile,
And handle things with ease.
There's nothing quite like stillness,
Or a pause in the routine,
to get yourself back on track
by letting off a little steam.
So I'm going to enjoy my garden,
and read a chapter of my book,
then later I'll take an evening stroll,
and linger by the brook.
And after a good night's sleep,
I'll be well rested and restored,
And ready to start again
as my needs were not ignored.
So when you're feeling tired
and burnt out by working hard,
give yourself a little break
And all stress you will discard ...
