The storm continued to rage on as Hercules and Athena still sat inside the cave , "the storm looks as if it won't stop anytime soon" said Athena , "let us travel onwards then" said Hercules. Moments later Hercules and Athena left the cave and travelled onwards through the storm , the rain continued to fall hard and fast as the thunder rumbled louder and the lightning flashed amongst the clouds , Hercules and Athena walked onwards away from the coast and headed further inland.
They walked towards the dark forest and followed the path through it , as they walked through the dark forest a lightning bolt suddenly struck a tree , "watch out!" Said Athena as she leapt towards Hercules and pushed him out of the way , "THUMP"...a tree branch crashed into the ground in front of them where Hercules had just been standing , "thank you Athena" said Hercules , Athena and Hercules stepped over the big tree branch and continued to walk onwards through the dark forest.
Hercules and Athena walked deeper into the dark forest and then suddenly they hear a noise coming from the shadows beside them , moments later a strange creature burst out the shadows. Hercules and Athena drew their swords and defended themselves as the creature screeched , "what is that thing" said Hercules as the creature moved closer , the creature's black skin covered in scaled armour...it's eyes red like blood and it's long tail with spikes at the tip.
The creature jumped forward towards Athena...moments later Hercules quickly threw a punch and hit the creature's head , the creature fell onto the wet grassy and muddy ground , it shook its head a little and then turned towards Hercules and screeched. The creature jumped towards Hercules as the thunder rumbled loudly , Hercules ducked and then grabbed the creatures tail and swung it around through the air , Hercules let go of the creature and watched as it flew through the air and crashed against a large pine tree.
The creature lay there in the wet grass and mud...it's red eyes shimmered a little as the lightning flashed , "is it dead" said Athena as Hercules walked slowly towards the creature , Hercules moved even closer to the creature and poked it with his sword , "it looks dead to me" said Hercules...suddenly the creature lashed out and jumped onto Hercules , he dropped his sword as the creature tried to bite him "ahh get this thing off me" said Hercules as he grappled with the creature.
Athena ran towards Hercules and swung her sword towards the creature and cut it's tail off , the tail fell onto the ground and a purple liquid seeped out of the spikes on the tip of it. "Don't let it bite you it's poisonous" said Athena as the creature screeched and then jumped off Hercules and climbed up into the trees , " Hercules quickly picked up his sword and stood back to back against Athena , "where are you creature" said Hercules , the tree leaves rustled in the wind as the storm didn't show any sign of stopping.
As Hercules and Athena kept their guard up the creature moved from tree to tree as it blended in with the shadows , lightning struck another tree and another branch fell down onto the ground behind them. Suddenly the creature burst out of the treetops and leaped towards Hercules , Hercules moved to the side a little and swung his sword through the air , he landed a direct blow on the creature cutting it's gut , the creature screeched and crashed into the mud and rolled across the ground until it hit a tree.
It's blood dripping out of it's wound and onto the grass at it sat there , moments later Athena grabbed her golden spear and held it tight , she moved her arm back and then threw her golden spear through the air towards the creature. The golden spear travelled swiftly through the air and impaled the creature against the tree , Hercules moved towards the creature and then swung his sword and cut it's head off , the creatures head fell onto the ground and rolled through the mud as Hercules pulled the golden spear out of it's body and handed it back to Athena.
Hercules and Athena put their weapons away and stood there for a moment as the rain slowed down , after a few minutes they continued walking through the forest until they could see an exit , soon after...Hercules and Athena had left the forest and the storm had passed...they travelled onwards as the dark clouds moved away and the sun shone brightly once again , an hour later they arrived at a small village by the mountains and saw it was under attack from a large three headed dog.
"Cerberus... what's he doing here" said Athena , suddenly a voice behind them said "one of my lazy guards let him out by accident" , Hercules and Athena turned around and saw Hades standing in front of them , Hades long dark hair move a little in the wind as his black armour glimmered a little in the sunlight , Hades gripped his sceptre firmly and said "I require your assistance with getting Cerberus back home" Hercules and Athena stood there for a moment and agreed to assist Hades...
