Epic Legend
Odysseus slowly moved his head little by little as Medusa hissed and laughed , "NO!!" shouted Hercules as he reached out, he grabbed Odysseus and turned him away from Medusa's deadly gaze. Medusa hissed angrily and swung her tail around and smashed a marble altar into pieces , "look at me..." Hissed Medusa , Hercules and Odysseus kept their eyes closed and started to move forward through the room as Medusa followed them.
Odysseus almost tripped on a shield that lay in the floor in front of him , he leaned over and picked up the shield and opened his eyes and looked into the reflective surface of it. He saw Medusa's beautiful face in the reflection , her eyes shimmered a little in the torchlight as her tail rattled , Odysseus closed his eyes and gripped the shield then swung his arm around , "CLANG"... the shield hit Medusa's face and knocked her down for a moment , "RUN HERCULES!!" said Odysseus.
Hercules and Odysseus ran through the corridors and rooms beneath the old temple and looked for an escape , Medusa let out an earth shattering scream and chased after them. Hercules and Odysseus continued to run through the maze of corridors as Medusa chased them , Medusa's tail swung around smashing amphorae and statues into pieces , "LOOK AT ME..!!" screamed Medusa , suddenly Hercules and Odysseus discovered a man in the room beside them.
"Help me , get me out of here" said the man , Hercules asked the man if there was a way out of the temple tunnels , "there's a hidden passage down the next corridor" said the man. Odysseus asked why he hadn't escaped yet , "Medusa cornered me and broke my legs" said the man , "where...are...you" hissed Medusa , "please help me and I'll show you the hidden passage" said the man , Hercules and Odysseus picked the man up and then walked as fast as they could to the next corridor.
A couple of minutes later they had reached the hidden passage and the man told them how to open it , "press the snake symbol on this wall" said the man. Hercules placed his hand on the snake symbol and moments later the wall began to move , "YOU CAN'T ESCAPE FROM ME!!" hissed medusa as she slithered towards them , Odysseus squeezed through the hidden passage and followed the tunnel , Hercules just managed to squeeze himself into the passage.
Hercules tried to help the man into the passage then suddenly Medusa grabbed the man , "ahh don't let go" screamed the man , Hercules held on tight as he closed his eyes. Medusa scratched and clawed at the man cutting into his skin , her venom seeped into his wounds as Hercules tried to help him , the man lost his strength and fell to the floor and turned around , "RUN , LEAVE ME" shouted the man , Hercules sealed the hidden passage and moments later he heard the man scream.
"ahhhh!!"... screamed the man as he looked at Medusa , Medusa's eyes glowed bright green as the man stared into her deadly gaze , in a matter of seconds the man had turned into stone. Hercules and Odysseus ran through the secret passageway until they saw a little light seeping through some cracks around a door , Hercules thrust his fist through the air a smashed the door into pieces , Hercules and Odysseus had escaped Medusa and ran towards the boat.
They climbed aboard the boat and sailed across the lake as fast a they could , "we barely made it out of there" said Odysseus as he and Hercules rowed the boat faster. Hercules sighed a little and agreed with him , a few minutes later Hercules and Odysseus reached the edge of the lake and climbed out of the boat and onto dry land , "let us get far away from this place" said Hercules , Odysseus and Hercules travelled onwards towards the northeast as they left Medusa and the lake behind them.
