Epic Legend
Hercules and Odysseus had finally reached the lake , in the middle of the lake was an island surrounded by fog and darkness , a small boat floated by the edge of the lake. Hercules and Odysseus climbed into the small boat and rowed towards the island , "I don't like the look of that island" said Odysseus , "I'm sure everything will be fine , but we should keep our guard up" said Hercules , they rowed onwards across the large lake until they reached the island.
Hercules and Odysseus climbed out of the boat and walked onwards through the fog and the darkness , suddenly they saw torchlight ahead of them , "there a old temple over there" said Odysseus. Hercules and Odysseus heard a hissing sound and drew their swords , "that sound was too loud for a snake" said Hercules , they walked onwards towards the temple and went inside , Hercules and Odysseus walked through the dimly lit hall and down the corridor until they reached some stairs leading downwards.
They heard the loud hissing sound again and stopped for a moment , "what is that sound" whispered Odysseus , Hercules and Odysseus walked deeper and deeper down the stairs until they found themselves in a hidden area beneath the temple. "Something is down here with us" whispered Odysseus as he saw a shadow moving , they gripped their swords firmly and walked onwards through the hidden area as the torchlight flickered in the darkness.
They walked into another room filled with statues , "these statues are very realistic" whispered Odysseus , "wait , I've seen statues like this before , we need to get out of here now" whispered Hercules. "Seen these statues before? , where?" said Odysseus , "Gorgon's victims are turned to stone" said Hercules , "you mean like Medusa?" Whispered Odysseus , Hercules nodded and a moment later they heard a hissing sound right behind them.
"Welcome to my home" said a snake like voice behind them , "it's her , don't turn around" said Hercules , Odysseus and Hercules stood there frozen with their eyes closed. "Don't worry I won't harm you....look at me..." Hissed Medusa , "don't look , her gaze will turn us to stone" said Hercules , Odysseus became curious and wanted to see her and slowly turned around a little , "don't look!!" Shouted Hercules , Medusa hissed as she smiled , "look at me..." Hissed Medusa once again.
Odysseus opened his eyes and looked at the ground and moved his head up slowly , "NO!! , DON'T LOOK!!" shouted Hercules once again as Medusa laughed and hissed...
