A few days later Vanessa and her crew had safely escorted the crew of the other ship back home and both crews went their separate ways , Ilya flew the ship towards their home planet Terra. Vanessa activated the communication panel on the wall and said "attention all crew , we've made it back home" , the crew cheered and began to celebrate as the ship moved into orbit around Terra , later that evening Chef Elena had prepared a feast for the entire crew.
All of the crew members were in the dining room and kitchen area , Ilya and Emilia sat next to each other as they ate their meal and Doctor Thorn and engineer Yamada talked to Chef Elena. Music filled the room as some of the crew ate and played games , meanwhile Sam and Vanessa held each other as they danced slowly around the dining room , "we finally made it home" said Vanessa as she smiled at him , "I thought we would be stuck in deep space forever" said Sam.
After spending the night celebrating the next morning the crew beamed to the space station orbiting Terra and met their families , meanwhile Sam and Vanessa stayed on board the ship as they sat in Vanessa's sleeping quarters. "It's just us now" said Vanessa , "finally some more alone time together" said Sam , they looked out of the window as they held each other close and watched as some ships flew past , moments later Vanessa took Sam's hand and smiled and led him to her bed.
They layed down on her bed and kissed then held each other , they closed their eyes and drifted off to sleep finally getting the red they deserved after their journey.
