A few weeks later... Vanessa, Sam and their crew continued travelling through deep space and exploring strange new worlds and phenomenon. Ilya and Emilia sat in the dining room and kitchen area and talked a little as Chef Raj cooked some food for them , "what're you cooking over there" said Emilia as she looked over towards the kitchen , "I'm cooking grilled fish marinated in herbs and spices and a variety of vegetables" said Chef Raj.
"Sounds good , hope it's ready soon" said Ilya , meanwhile... Sam and Vanessa went down to deck seven and headed towards the botanical garden to spend some alone time together. "So , how's your day going" asked Sam , "it's going well thanks sweetie , I'm still a little on edge after visiting that planet a few weeks ago though" she said , "I understand why , that creature was relentless , I try to avoid thinking about it" said Sam as he held her close.
Sam and Vanessa looked at all the strange plants around them , the flowers moved as air circulated around the room and the small pools of water shimmered beneath the lights. "It's so peaceful her in the botanical garden" said Vanessa as she held him a little tighter , Sam and Vanessa closed their eyes for a moment and enjoyed the silence and the smell of flowers in the air , meanwhile in the engine room... chief engineer Vox began inspecting the shield and weapons systems.
Vox whistled to himself as he checked the shield system first , "hmm the shields are working perfectly , weapons system next" thought Vox , he walked over towards the weapons system and checked them out. "Hmm a small fault in the weapons system but easily fixed" he said , he grabbed a little tool from his box and started to work on the fault , as chief engineer Vox repaired the weapons system in the engineering room Doctor Mazir was checking the medical supplies in the medic area.
"Hmm there's some medical supplies missing" thought Doctor Mazir , he took out his communication device and said "Vanessa and Sam , please meet me in the medic area please". A few minutes or so later Sam and Vanessa arrived at the medic area , "sorry to interrupt your relaxation time , some medical supplies are missing" said Doctor Mazir , "hmm , any idea who took them" asked Vanessa , "I'm not sure but I have a feeling I might know who could've taken them" said Doctor Mazir.
Doctor Mazir told Sam and Vanessa his suspicions and a few minutes later he got back to work , Sam and Vanessa headed out of the medic area and went to deck three. They walked into the dining room and kitchen area and looked around the room , "where is he" said Sam , "who" asked Ilya and Emilia , "Chef Raj , where is he" said Sam , "he went to the cargo bay" said Ilya , moments later Sam and Vanessa walked out and headed towards the elevator and went down to the cargo bay.
Several minutes later Sam and Vanessa had arrived at the cargo bay , "Chef Raj , we know you're in here" said Vanessa , Sam and Vanessa started searching the cargo bay as Chef Raj hid himself behind some crates in a dark corner of the room. "Come out now or I'll be forced to use my weapon" said Sam , Raj crawled through the shadows and made his way towards the exit , suddenly he slipped on a pile of cables and dropped a box of medication.
Raj tried to make a break for it as he got up and started to run towards the exit , "oh no you don't" said Sam as he grabbed his hex pistol , "don't move or he will not hesitate to shoot" said Vanessa. Raj continued to run towards the exit and then moments later "ZING"...Sam had fired a shot towards him and hit his leg , Raj fell to the floor and tried to crawl away and escape , "seriously.... you're still trying to escape , I could just put you out of your misery right now if you prefer" said Sam.
Chef Raj stopped crawling , sat up and leaned against the wall , "why did you steal that medication" asked Vanessa , "my arm , it hurts so much even after Doctor Mazir replaced my hand with a synthetic one" said Raj as he started to cry , "that's no excuse to steal , that medication is for everyone on board this ship" said Vanessa as Raj held his synthetic hand , "we're still going to have to punish you for stealing" said Sam as Raj continued to cry.
Sam and Vanessa took Raj and the stolen medication back to the medic area and told Doctor Mazir what happened , "you should have just came to see me" said Doctor Mazir. "I know but I was embarrassed , I didn't want to show weakness" said Raj , "I'll keep an eye on him" said Doctor Mazir as Sam handed him the stolen medication , "once you're done here Raj , you'll be taken to the ship prison cells and you'll be there for a month" said Sam , "we'll get someone to do your cooking duties until you've been released" said Vanessa.
A short time later... the security team took Raj to the ship's prison cells as Sam and Vanessa went back to the botanical garden and spent some more time alone together and talked a while. Meanwhile Ilya and Emilia had finished their food and went back to the bridge and chief engineer Vox finished working on the weapons system and headed to his sleeping quarters to get some rest , Vox quickly fell asleep as the ship travelled onwards towards it's next destination....
