As the sun rises Odysseus opens his eyes to see the golden glow of the sun rising above the mountains, suddenly bursts of red and gold light and there stood Athena and another goddess, "we meet again" says Athena, the other goddess steps forward , the sunlight reflecting off her long golden hair as I it glimmers in the light , "I am Aphrodite" she says , "It's an honour to meet you" said Odysseus, "I have come to warn you Odysseus , not far from here there is a lake where a creature lives" said Aphrodite, "what is this creature" replied Odysseus, Athena and Aphrodite looked at each other and said "the creature is half hawk and half lion , it's called a gryphon" said Athena. "We want you to rescue it from it's captors" said Aphrodite, as she held out her hand a orb of light shines as Odysseus looks into it seeing the creature trapped in chains, "I'll rescue it" he said, then Aphrodite steps closer to Odysseus, her blue eyes sparkling like crystals in the sunlight, " this is another gift from the gods and may it serve you well" said Athena and Aphrodite. He bows to the goddess's and heads through the forest and past a mountain pass before finally reaching the lake , as he surveys the area Odysseus takes the new gift the goddess's had given him , a white bow with a golden design and special arrows,. Odysseus starts firing arrows in every direction, golden arrows striking each captor down one by one until they breathed their last breath. Odysseus walks down to the gryphon and starts removing the chains when suddenly a burst of orange light flashes and a man appears sitting on Pegasus's back, "I am Apollo" he says , " that gryphon belongs to me it was taken by those bandits" said Apollo. His golden armour shining in the light almost blinding, " thank you for rescuing my gryphon " he said , "I have another gift for you Odysseus" said Apollo as he raised his eyebrow and ran his fingers through his hair , "thank you" said Odysseus , as he took the strange shield Odysseus made camp and rested for a while...part 3 coming soon
