Athena and Odysseus part 1

The beautiful goddess Athena looks down as she watches the lonely traveller Odysseus sail toward his home of ithaca secretly admiring what he has done on his odyssey so far. Odysseus arrives at his next destination to find a land of trees with golden leaves , a river glistening in the bright sunlight and a gentle breeze blowing through his long hair. Suddenly a flash of red light appears, it was Athena goddess of war and wisdom, she greets Odysseus with a smile and a gift "this is a sword made by the gods" said Athena, Odysseus looks at the sword, a golden handle with rubies , the blade glowing brighter as he wields it , "thank you" says Odysseus as Athena smiles at him , " the sword will protect you on your journey, keep it close" said Athena. " I will Athena" said Odysseus, " I must go now but good luck on your journey, I'll be watching over you" says Athena. Odysseus feeling blessed by the beautiful goddess Athena continues his journey across the island , suddenly the sky gets darker and begins to rain heavily , thunder rumbling and lightning crashing down almost striking Odysseus, then he hears a sound coming from the trees behind him , as he turns around, suddenly a harpie bursts out of the shadows heading straight for him screeching and Odysseus draws his sword , the harpies eyes glowing orange, her claws sharp , her long red hair blowing in the wind. Odysseus waves his sword trying to fight of the harpie, he stands his ground doing everything he can to stay alive, he runs toward the river as the harpie follows him , he trips over a crystal and falls into the glistening river as the harpie gets closer and closer,. Odysseus crawling through the water trying to reach his sword, with the harpie about to strike Odysseus grabs his sword and swiftly turns around and plunges it straight the the harpies heart, breathing a sigh of relief he removes his sword and walks out of the river and into a nearby cave to shelter from the storm and rests until morning...
