Are We Even Supposed to Be Here?

The universe is 13.8 billion years old. Earth has only existed for about 4.5 billion of those years. And humans? We've been around for just 200,000. That’s like showing up in the last second of a 24-hour day. What’s even weirder is that 95% of the universe is made up of stuff we can’t even see—dark matter and dark energy. Scientists know it's there, but they don’t know what it is.

Now think about this: Earth orbits at just the right distance from the Sun, not too hot, not too cold. Any closer, we’d burn. Any farther, we’d freeze. We have a magnetic field that protects us from deadly solar radiation. We’ve got a giant planet like Jupiter nearby that acts like a cosmic vacuum cleaner, pulling in asteroids that might have wiped us out. Even our moon helps stabilize Earth’s tilt, giving us seasons.

It’s like everything had to be just right for us to exist. Like some impossible cosmic recipe. So the real question is… was this all a freak accident, or are we part of something we just don’t understand yet? Either way, it’s kind of terrifying.

If humans are so new in cosmic time, do you think there were other intelligent civilizations before us… that came and vanished without a trace?

The universe's vastness and complexity are mind-blowing, leaving us with more questions than answers about our existence and place in the cosmos .

There are multiple theories regarding intelligent extra terrestrial life. Like, we're the first life forms in the universe, or others like us exists out there but are too far away to make contact, or more intelligent life out there and they already know about us but choose not to interfere, and the scariest of them all, we're the last ones. Every other civilization got wiped out due to some internal or external cause. Even if life much more advanced that us existed once in the universe, scientists believes they most probably killed themselves by exhausting their planets resources or war. Just like the roman empire.

Scary thought… being the last ones left. Makes you see things differently!

The earth was populated due to some alien DNA as per research. Species starting evolving and then came humans. Technically we are made of star dust in some ways. Aliens exist I am sure and as you correctly mentioned , it's a vast universe and I do believe that there are other civilizations and planets in existing. They might be more advanced as well. Roswell incident in Mexico has been classified but some people who are part of the project are now coming out and acknowledging the fact. Why does USA keep Area 51 as a super secure site. Anyways , thank you for this post mate. Cheers!!!!

Alien is such a broad term. It doesn't necessarily have to be intelligent life. It could be animals, plants or even microscopic life form. Scientists believe we can find life in the ice covered ocean moon, Europa.
