Favoured Frenzy
Dhruv moves forward through the shadows, kills Raga’s man with a swift, silent strike, takes his phone and, without wasting a moment, dials a number from his own. Somewhere far away, in a dusty corner of Bangladesh, a hand wearing a vintage watch reaches for a ringing phone. The man, hidden behind dark glasses, sits at a small tea stall, sipping his chai slowly.

He answers.“Khuda Hafiz, Yunan... how have you been?” Dhruv’s voice is cold, calm, almost too steady. On the other side Yunan freezes, then lets out a short dry laugh. “Dhruv Sahib... after so long! What made you remember me today?”“I need your help,” Dhruv replies.Yunan exhales. “Help? Last time I helped you, I lost everything. Since then,I’ve been hiding in my own country—Bangladesh. My badge is gone. My life is ruined. But yes... that was quite an adventure,” he says with a strange, bitter smile.“This time it’s not about me,” Dhruv says, his tone turning grave. “My country needs me. And for that, I am ready to die.”The words make Yunan sit upright, no longer resting back on the chair. “What happened, Dhruv Sahib?”“You know about international human trafficking? Maybe you don’t realize how deep it runs through your soil,” Dhruv says.“I know,” Yunan admits. “I’ve been secretly tracking these people myself. But ever since I helped you, I was branded a traitor in my own land. I can’t get close enough to uncover the truth anymore.”

“Raga has abducted an entire truck full of girls,” Dhruv continues. “I want you to pose as a broker, a buyer. I will give Raga your number. You will take that truck of girls across the border into Bangladesh. He will agree—he wants to expand his power beyond India. Once the girls are with you, I will ensure through my Minister that they are rescued and safely brought back to India. Raga will think his deal is done... and the girls will be free. And when Raga’s influence spreads outside India, Kalyug’s hatred for him will only grow. Their enmity will burn even hotter, and that chaos will open cracks in their empire. We can end this network from inside their war.”There is a long pause. Then Yunan breathes out slowly. “All right, Dhruv Sahib. I’ll do it. From here on, we keep contact to a minimum. No mistakes.”“Good,” Dhruv answers.

Dhruv continues “Your men will be waiting at the border. I’ll talk to the Minister. Just make sure the girls cross into Bangladesh... and come back safe.”“Understood,” Yunan says quietly. “Let’s end this nightmare, together.”As planned, Dhruv gives Yunan Raga’s number and, without wasting a moment, calls the Minister. In a low voice he explains everything, telling him that this mission will need his support at every step. While the Minister begins preparing on his end, far away Yunan dials Raga.At that moment Raga’s truck is parked in a deserted, dusty stretch of road. Surrounded by silence and his own men, he sees the unknown number flashing on his phone. He picks it up, his rough voice cutting through the stillness.“Who is this?”From the other side comes acalm, deep reply. “It’s Yunan.”

“Yunan?” Raga frowns.“I heard from your men,” Yunan says smoothly, “that you have a truck loaded with girls. You want to make this deal work? Then bring that truck to the Bangladesh border as quickly as possible. This dealmust stay quiet. No one can find out. You have to come without raising a single suspicion.”Raga’s face softens into a grin. “Of course, Yunan bhai. Whenever you call, I will keep the supply running. In fact, I want you to make me your new man in India... and beyond. I have the power to deliver girls anywhere—Bangladesh, anywhere in the world!”“That’s good,” Yunan replies. “My men will be waiting for you at the border.”Everything unfolds exactly as Dhruv had envisioned. Believing Yunan’s words, Raga driveshis convoy towards the India–Bangladesh border. What he doesn’t know is that the people waiting on the Indian side, disguised as Yunan’s contacts, are in fact Dhruv’s and the Minister’s men.The exchange is staged with perfect precision. As soon as the trucks reach the spot, the girls are quietly moved out. One by one, terrified faces shuffle from Raga’s truck into another. The air is heavy with fear, a restless murmuring, sobs barely held back.Raga stands proudly in front of his vehicle, watching the transfer with satisfaction, completely convinced these Indian men are Yunan’s trusted network. Two trucks had come with him, but soon they stand empty, their cargo gone. Finally, the new truck, packed with the rescued girls, rolls slowly towards the Bangladeshi side, disappearing into the mist of the border road. Raga watches it go, a triumphant smile spreading across his face. In his mind, he is more powerful than ever, convinced that his empire is now stretching beyond India. What he doesn’t see is the trap closing around him—the quiet beginning of his downfall.

Meanwhile, far away from the border, the city exhales into a strange and watchful silence. On the wide, empty rooftop of a luxury high-rise, dozens of men stand like statues. This is Kalyug’s den, thetop of his own tower, where no sound from the streets below dares to rise.In the center, four chairs are arranged. Kalyug sits on one, motionless, his face lowered, only the dark kohl around his eyes catching the dim rooftop light. Across from him sit three powerful figures: on one side Suleman, the man whose name is tied to human trafficking scandals; next to him Joseph, an international drug lord; and at the far end, Raven, the young and dangerously quiet builder whose illegal deals in Mumbai are whispered about but never spoken aloud in public. The night is so still that even their breathing sounds loud. Finally, Suleman leans forward, voice tense.“Kalyug,” he says, “this has never happened before. A deal of this size, slipping out of our hands... The foreign dealers already know. They see weakness in us. How could this happen under your watch? Who has the courage?”Joseph adds sharply, his tone edged with irritation.“This was today. Tomorrow, it could be worse. You need to act. Who is daring to take away what is yours?”No one at this table knows Raga is involved; they only know that their power has been challenged.
Again,Suleman presses, frustration creeping into his voice.“What do we do next?”Kalyug does not answer. He stays perfectly still, both hands resting on the table, his head lowered so that only his eyes—dark and heavy—are visible. Then, slowly, he raises his face, not toward Suleman or Joseph, but toward the third man: Raven.Raven has been silent the entire time, watching. Their eyes meet, and something unspoken passes between them—a crooked, dangerous smile flickers across both their faces.Kalyug finally speaks, his voice low, steady, and cutting:“A minister cannot pull this off alone. And Dhruv... he doesn’t have the courage or the reach to even scratch me. No, someone else is helping them. And when I find out who, I will end them.”

Only then does Raven finally speak, breaking his long silence with a voice smooth as glass:“A hundred girls may be gone. Why waste time grieving over water already spilled? After all, anyone can take a sip from the ocean.”Kalyug turns his head toward him and replies with a slow, cold smile:“But if it is my ocean... even that single sip becomes a flood.”Raven nods faintly, lips curling into a grin. The others watch as tension dissolves into a quiet ripple of laughter, soft and dangerous. Around them, the guards say nothing, their eyes locked on the black horizon.Beneath this calm, a storm begins to form.

That same night, far from the city lights, in a hideout buried deep in the outskirts, Joseph and Suleman sat together in their den. Outside, rows of parked cars stood like silent beasts, and armed men moved about, cleaning weapons and loading crates with mechanical precision. Inside, the air was thick with smoke; both men held cigarettes in one hand, glasses of wine resting on the table before them.Suleman exhaled a slow stream of smoke and glanced at Joseph.“What do you think, Joseph? Who could be behind all this?”Joseph leaned back, eyes narrowed.“This is business, Suleman. Competition is normal. But this... this is bigger. Someone dares to make a move against Kalyug when his power reaches every corner? That means they are either mad... or very sure of themselves.”Suleman’s lips curled into a cruel smile.“Whoever did this... their family, their friends—every last one of them will be hunted, torn apart piece by piece. That’s a promise.”They clinked their glasses and laughed, their voices echoing in the heavy silence, completely unaware that the game had already begun to move against them. And what neither of them, nor even Kalyug himself, knows is this: Kalyug has no idea that Raga is still alive. Nor has he ever seen Dhruv’s face. The scene cuts sharply.

In a hidden safehouse, far away, Dhruv sits around a table with five of his old allies—four men and one woman—people who have travelled from distant states just to stand by him. Maps, photographs, and notes are scattered in front of them, the air filled with low murmurs. Dhruv’s friend Kavya says, “Dhruv, has no one seen Kalyug until today?” Dhruv answers firmly, “The Minister has definitely seen him before, but after that he vanished. Now he’s hiding somewhere, running all his dark business in secret.” Raj, another of Dhruv’s friends, warns, “What we are thinkingof doing won’t be that easy. If you, even by mistake, cross his path, we will all be killed—and this destruction that has begun will turn into something far worse.” Dhruv says with determination, “Don’t worry about that. All we have to do is bring Raga and the Minister face to face with Kalyug. Once that happens, they will destroy each other themselves.” Kavya asks, “But Dhruv, how is that even possible?” Dhruv replies, “I have two ideas. If even one of them succeeds, everything we are hoping for might happen. But if these plans fail, this could be the last time we meet—because this is no longer just about Mumbai, it’s about the entire country.” Kavya says, “Dhruv, we have fought danger before, we can take this to the end too.” Dhruv says, “Back then Yunan was with us, he had power and was a trusted ally. Today, we don’t have that reach anymore, because the very Minister who was supposed to stand with us has turned corrupt. One wrong decision and all our plans will collapse.” Just then Jassi, their companionand Dhruv’s old friend, speaks up, “Then tell us, Dhruv—what are these plans? What have you thought of?”

Dhruv says, “Listen, all of you, carefully. First, we have to somehow make Kalyug believe that Raga is still alive. Because of that, Kalyug will try again to kill Raga, and we also need to make sure he finds out that the people behind ending his Bangladesh deal were the Minister and me. This way Kalyug’s anger will shift toward Raga and the Minister, though he might also try to have me killed. And whenRaga realizes that his own deal was snatched away because of the Minister, he himself will become the Minister’s enemy.” Aadil, another companion, asks, “Dhruv, is something like this even possible? After all, they all knew each other before.” Dhruv replies, “There is no harm in trying.” Jassi asks, “So what do we have to do next?” Dhruv says, “Some of us will join Raga’s side, some will get close to the Minister, and some will join Kalyug’s side. We will place our own people among them. Every plan that Kalyug has, we will destroy from within. And whenever his deals come through, our goal will be to secretly help Raga and stop those orders from being fulfilled.” Kavya says, “Alright, Dhruv. Dhruv says fromnow on we’ll focus on breaking all of Kalyug’s connections, and eventually Kalyug will kill Raga—and after that, I can kill the Minister myself and be ready to go to jail if I must.” Everyone agrees on this plan. Kavya chooses to infiltrate the Minister’s side, Jassi joins Raga, and Raj stays with Kalyug. As per the agreement, Aadil will stay on no one’s side, working as a shadow with Steve on his own mission. Steve then asks, “And Dhruv, what is the second plan?” Dhruv says, “I will tell you when the time comes.” They all look at each other, shake hands, and then take their leave from one another.

Scene: It’s raining outside. There is a big luxurious house. This house belongs to Raven. At night he is standing on the balcony watching the heavy rain and drinking tea. Lightning flashes in the sky and thunder roars. He is staring ahead, lost in deep thoughts. Suddenly a girl comes near him. She stands close to him while Raven is still sitting on the chair. His hair moves slightly in the wind. He is young but in a very short time he has achieved a lot and peopleare scared of his name. That girl is none other than Raven’s girlfriend, KAVYA. "Kavya, who was pretending to be Dhruv's friend."
Raven says, “Someone has started a war against us.” KAVYA says, “This keeps happening to you Raven. What’s new in that?” Raven says, “Something this time is not like usual.” KAVYA asks, “Why do you feel like that?” Raven says, “Because I got to know the girls who went to Bangladesh have come back and my men have informed me about it. If I wanted,I could have finished all of them, but this good work cannot be done by the Minister or by Kalyug. The plan to save those girls belongs to Dhruv. But who else is with Dhruv, that is still unknown. Listen KAVYA, now you have to do one work. A fake order will be given from Bangladesh to Kalyug, and to complete it the same process will be repeated as before.” KAVYA looks at him silently. Raven pulls her and makes her sit on his lap. Both of them start kissing, and in the sound of the rain the atmosphere becomes even more mysterious.

Raga is sitting inside a huge garage in Thane, surroundedby twenty to twenty-five men, a clear sign that he is no longer alone—he has allies now. His ambition is burning; he wants his network to grow slowly but surely and once again rule over Mumbai. Just then his phone rings. He answers with a cold, steady voice, “Hello, speak... what’s the news?” The man on the other side says, “Raga, there’s another big deal on the table, a supply of girls to Bangladesh. Somehow arrange a hundred girls, any age, young or mature, and deliver them to the border.” Raga replies, “One of our men... I think Kalyug killed him,” though in reality it was Dhruv who had done it, and this call had come from one of Raga’s own men, because a few of his people had already infiltrated Kalyug’s gang. Without hesitation Raga says, “Fine,” and orders his men, “When Kalyug gets these girls ready to fulfill the deal, we will hijack his truck, make the delivery ourselves for free, and destroy his reputation so badly that in the international market he becomes a laughing stock.”

Meanwhile, on the other side, Raven is seen outside an NGO with his cars lined up and fifteen to twenty men forcibly grabbing girls and loading them into a truck. Among those girls is Kavya. Raven himself had asked her to be part of this so he could find out exactly who was involved in the hijacking of his previous consignment. Kavya gets into the truck, and from a distance Raven, in his black sunglasses, watches her silently. Their eyes meet for a fleeting moment, andRaven looks at Kavya and gives her a slow, knowing smilethen she turns away and sits down inside.

Dhruv’s phone rings and it’s a call from Kavya. We see Kavya now, sitting inside the truck among the kidnapped girls; the atmosphere in there is suffocating, the girls are crying and screaming but their voices don’t escape beyond those metal walls. It’s a terrifying, hellish silence. Kavya tries to calm them down, telling them, “Don’t be afraid, none of you are alone, I and my people will save you.” And in that moment,we finally learn about Kavya—she had stayed close to Raven only because from the very beginning she suspected he was involved in something dark, and she came near him so that, when the time came, she could protect her country from the inside. On the phone she says, “Hello Dhruv,” and we see Dhruv is on the call with his team listening in. Kavya tells him, “This truck is on its way to Bangladesh right now and this fake deal was set up by Raven just so he could find out who is moving against him.” Dhruv answers, “Kavya, don’t worry. I’ll tell Yunan—just like last time he’ll make sure these girls are taken safely across to Bangladesh, and then I’ll talk to the minister and bring them back. That way Raga will believe his plan succeeded, but in reality,it will fail, and the bad blood between him and Kalyug will only grow stronger.” Kavya says, “Alright Dhruv, but be careful... Raven is not the man you think he is. Even after living close to him, there’s so much I don’t know about him.” Dhruv replies, “Alright,” and with that the call ends.
