As Asterius begged for death, begged for freedom from his curse, Talia hesitated and then said "there must be another way to cure you...". "I have already searched for a cure, you must kill me I beg you.." said Asterius as the clouds continued to move, "the curse of the werewolf is not your fault, you are an innocent man" said Talia as the moonlight began to emerge once again.
"Please...kill..ugh..me...grr.." said Asterius as he began to transform again, "do it before he kills one of us my love!" Said Daniel as he kept his grip on Asterius. "He's just an innocent" said Talia, "he may be innocent but think about how many people he has killed whilst as a werewolf" said Daniel, a few moments later Talia thrust the silver dagger towards Asterius.
A few seconds later Asterius had finished transforming and grabbed Talia's arm, Daniel held onto Asterius firmly as Talia dropped the silver dagger onto the ground. "Let go of me Asterius.." said Talia, a few moments later Asterius grabbed Talia and Daniel and then threw them through the air towards the town fountain, a matter of seconds later they crashed into the fountain and it collapsed.
Asterius walked towards them slowly and then suddenly stopped and scraped his razor sharp claws against a wall then growled loudly. Just as Daniel and Talia stood up, Asterius attacked them and tore through their clothes and skin, "ahhh" screamed Talia as Asterius's claws cut her, "are you alright my love?" Said Daniel, "yes, it's just a small cut my love" said Talia.
Daniel became angry and then launched himself through the air and tackled Asterius to the ground, Daniel clawed at Asterius and then bit his shoulder. Asterius roared and then grabbed Daniel and pushed him off, Daniel fell onto the cobblestone ground and then reached for the silver dagger, Asterius moved swiftly onto his feet and then let out a loud eerie howl that echoed throughout Trinity Hale.
Daniel grabbed the silver dagger and then threw it at Asterius, the dagger flew through mid air and then a few seconds later it hit Asterius in the chest impaling him. A moment later Asterius growled and then fell to his knees, Daniel ran towards Talia and helped her up and then stood in front of Asterius as he began to transform back into human form once again.
Seconds later the transformation was complete and Asterius lay there groaning as blood dripped onto the cobblestone ground. Talia and Daniel transformed themselves back into the human shape form as Asterius mumbled a little, "thank you, maybe I can rest in peace now.." said Asterius as his voice grew weaker, a minute or so later Asterius's arms slumped down and his breathing slowed.
"Death is only the beginning...the dark one...he is waiting for you..." Said Asterius as he breathed his final breaths, a few moments later Asterius died as Talia and Daniel stood in the moonlight. "Hmm what was that supposed to mean?..." said Daniel, "I do not know my love, I hope we do not find out.." said Talia as the clouds passed and the stars lot up the night sky.
A few weeks later...
It's now 2nd May 1894 and Daniel and Talia were on their holiday in Egypt, they were on board a steamboat as it sailed down the river Nile. They stood on the deck and held onto the railing as the sunlight burned bright in the clear blue sky, "it is fortunate that we are able to be out in the daylight or we would have burst into dust" said Daniel, "it is so beautiful here, how long until we reach the the ruins" said Talia.
"Hmm a few hours or so, I am looking forward to seeing them" said Daniel as the steamboat sailed onwards down the Nile. A few hours later the steamboat had docked by the edge of the river and Talia and Daniel stepped onto dry land, "here we are my friends, you can see the magnificent temple of Karnak" said the Captain, "it's so big!" Said Talia in amazement as she looked at the temple.
The Captain showed them around the ancient temple of Karnak, "look at this excellent craftsmanship and design, perfect for a Pharaoh" said the Captain. A few moments later a sudden gust of wind came out of nowhere and howled eerily, the sand began to move and voices began to whisper and groan all around them, "what is happening!" Said Talia, "the curse, it is the curse" said the Captain as he ran towards his steamboat.
The Captain boarded his steamboat and powered it up as Talia and Daniel ran towards the edge of the river, a moment later Daniel almost tripped on something that was sticking out of the sand. "What is that?" Said Talia, "hmm it is a small figurine" said Daniel as the voices continued to whisper and groan all around them and the wind howled, "let us get away from here" said Talia as they climbed aboard the steamboat.
The Captain steered the steamboat around and several moments later the boat sailed onwards across the Nile, Talia and Daniel stood on the deck of the boat and looked at the small figurine as the Captain's friend steered the boat. "It's a beautiful figurine" said Talia, the small figurine was blue and extremely detailed as it shimmered a little in the bright sunlight.
"What have you got there?" Asked the Captain, Talia and Daniel showed him the figurine, "where did you find that?" Asked the Captain. "I found it sticking out of the sand, I almost tripped over it" said Daniel, "you should not have taken it...it is cursed.." said the Captain, "it is just a figurine Captain, I'm sure there is no harm taking it" said Talia, the Captain remained silent for a moment.
"Death shall come on swift wings to those who disturb the dead....you must get rid of the figurine!" Said the Captain, a moment later the Captain walked back to the bridge of the boat as Talia and Daniel stood in silence. "Hmm maybe we should get rid of it" said Talia, "hmm but how often does anyone find something like this, it is rare and unique" said Daniel.
"I am sure that the Captain is just afraid of this curse he mentioned" said Talia, "then it is settled, we shall keep the figurine" said Daniel as the steamboat sailed onwards across the river Nile towards the city.
