Some people just know.
Sometimes, I don’t need advice.
I don’t need solutions or someone to tell me what I should have done.
I just need someone who notices.
Someone who comes around and asks,
“How are you feeling Today?”
Someone who patiently listens to all my tantrums,
lets me complain, overthink and be dramatic without judging me.
And when I’m still upset,
he’ll casually suggest,
“Go eat some chocolates.”
It’s not about fixing everything.
It’s just the comfort of knowing
someone cares enough to check on you,
listen to you,
and stay around until your mood gets a little better.
Some people don’t make your problems disappear.
They just make them feel a little easier to carry.
