What do you guys want haa????Stop torturing me with your ambiguous little word 'Hmm' everytime! I mean It's like, hello! I'm over here trying to have a conversation, and all I get is... _cricket sounds_ -_-

Like seriously every time someone says 'hmm', I'm like:

- Should I respond or just stare awkwardly in silence?

- Are they inviting further conversation or just trying to escape?

- IS THIS THE END OF OUR FRIENDSHIP?! Is he find me boring!!? That's why he just used 'hmm' as a 'Full-stop'...?

Man I'm already an overthinker so please stop messing with my fragile little mind, okay? I don't want to end up in a straitjacket, rocking back and forth, muttering "hmm" to myself.


Oh, I forgot to mention that 'umm' and 'mhm' are also part of the equation... Now, I'm wondering, are you guys moaning in agreement or is 'mhm' and 'umm' are 'hmm's long-lost relative?"

I only use the 'hmm' phrase when my brain has decided to trip and I lose thought or track of what I was saying, or when my brain is struggling to process something that's been said or that I've seen.

But I like your thinking, if you say 'hmm' now means 'hey, marry me' maybe I'll have to start saying it a whole lot more :rofl1:

I promise you, next time I say "hmm", I’ll include a footnote, a mood board, and a signed affidavit stating exactly what I meant!

But seriously, your declaration is noted. From now on:

I always take hmm as declaration of war against my personal beliefs!!!

Like i don't care if people type some eehh ahhh errrr aghhh ( i mean second hand moans are fine too!) or whatever
even some good to bad curse words with icing of bullshit everything is fine except this hmm...
Cz it all ends with hmm!!!!

OMG I never knew “hmm” had so much power! Now I feel like every time I type it, someone might start planning a wedding..From now on, I’m only saying “hmm” with a disclaimer: “This hmm is purely for thinking purposes. Not a proposal.
