To our amazing Zozo Staff - Owners, Admins, Mods
I see you. I see the tireless dedication you pour into this community, ensuring it’s a safe, welcoming space for everyone. You don’t just moderate—you care. You’re always there, approachable and understanding, stepping in when someone needs guidance or when the room starts to falter.
But what stands out the most to me is your resilience. I know this work takes a toll. Moderating isn’t just about enforcing rules; it’s about being the emotional anchor for a diverse, sometimes chaotic community. It means absorbing the emotions of others, navigating conflicts, and supporting those who are struggling—all while carrying your own burdens.
I know that some days are harder than others. The mental toll of being a moderator is real. The constant vigilance, the need to stay calm even when emotions run high, the pressure of making fair decisions—it’s exhausting. It’s a role that demands so much of your energy and empathy, often leaving little room for yourself. And yet, despite all this, you continue to voluntarily show up, offering your time, your patience, and your heart to this space.
I have had one on one interactions with some of our Mods from SC. I know you have your own struggles, your own lives outside this room. Sometimes I wonder how you manage it all—how you’re able to show kindness and compassion to others when you might be running on empty yourself. It takes strength, and it takes a kind of selflessness that not everyone has.
You’ve created a space where people feel safe to share their thoughts, their fears, and their joys—a rare and precious thing in this world.
I also want to remind you to take care of yourselves. You give so much to this space, and it’s okay to step back when you need to. Your well-being matters, too. You are more than what you do for us; you are valued simply for who you are.
Thank you for everything you do—for the hours you spend keeping this room safe, for the emotional weight you carry, for the kindness you extend even on your hardest days. You are the heart of this community, and I’m endlessly grateful for you.
My journey here has been a rollercoaster of emotions. I’ve had lighthearted, casual conversations that brought laughter and connection, and I’ve been a quiet listener for those who needed someone to hear them. But it hasn’t always been easy—there were moments I felt abused, overwhelmed by negativity, and questioned why I stayed when I wanted to walk away, to leave behind the chaos and hurt. Thanks to you all and ofcourse to the few friends i have made, am still here and I intend to be so
